Latest News from Estonia

FTX currently has a number of Sponsored Reserves(SR), both drivers and maintainers, working with the British Army contingent in Estonia. The SR are part of the 19 Tank Transporter Squadron RLC HET detachment.

As ever, the tour has been busy and varied. Recent activity has included:

• Moving a number of Estonian Engineer plant to work on an ammunition storage facility. In this instance the team remained on the site, living off the vehicles until the plant was ready to be returned.
• Attendance at a Danish integration day with the opportunity to get a look at their weapon systems (SR Jamie McLaughlin shown on the right).
• An impromptu guard duty looking after a couple of RAF Typhoon aircraft from Lossiemouth which arrived at short notice – definitely not the norm!
